The TriggerTech Rem 700 Special is an upgraded version of the Primary model which further enhances accuracy and precision on any Remington 700 model rifle. Utilizing TriggerTech's CLKR Technology™, and some additional hand refinements, the pull weight on the Special model is quickly and easily adjusted from 1.0 - 3.5 lbs in ~1oz increments from an externally accessible set screw. Due to the exceptionally crisp break, most shooters report the pull weights feeling ~0.5lbs lighter than a standard friction based trigger of the same measured weight. Just like the Primary model, this drop-in trigger provides a true zero-creep break, extremely short overtravel and offers outstanding reliability, even in the harshest environments. Frictionless Release Technology™, along with hardened, 440C, stainless steel internal components ensure corrosion resistance and an extended service life. As Frictionless Release Technology™ does not rely on coating, polishing or lubricating the key engagement surfaces trigger pulls will be more consistent from shot to shot and after thousands of shots than you every thought possible.

    Excellent trigger!

I installed a Triggertech in my new Defiance Deviant action and so far I am extremely impressed. On initial inspection, the unit appears extremely well made and robust. Installation was easy, with the provided instructions. The trigger breaks very cleanly with no noticeable take-up or overtravel. The weight setting from the factory was perfect for me so no need to adjust but clear instructions for adjustment areIncluded. I would compare the feel to a Jewel. I have been using Timney triggers in my last few guns but like the Triggertech more. One noticeable feature is the shoe which has a raised rib through the center similar to a factory Remington trigger. I found this a little strange at first after being used to flat-faced shoes but I got acclimated quickly and don't notice it anymore. I really like the Triggertech so far and as long as the unit proves to be robust in difficult environments and weather over time, it will be my trigger of choice.
