PROOF Research 6.5mm (.264") Carbon Fiber Sendero Barrel Blanks

Proof Research 6.5mm (.264") carbon fiber barrel blanks in the Sendero contour are available between 16.5 to 26 inch lengths. Every Proof Research carbon fiber blank we carry at Altus Shooting Solutions features a 1:8 or 1:7.5 twist rates and a 5-groove bore.

Proof Research manufactures these barrel blanks to be finished by your gunsmith, who can thread and chamber them to suit your dream, whether that’s a SAAMI-spec chamber like 6.5 Creedmoor or 6.5 PRC or a custom wildcat that pushes a .264” bullet.

Under the carbon fiber is a precision steel liner, wrapped in high-strength, aerospace-grade carbon fiber and bonded with Proof’s proprietary resin matrix. The result is a barrel that sheds significant weight while staying rigid, making your rifle easier to carry into the field and steadier to handle behind the gun. The carbon fiber wrap also helps draw heat away from the bore, so the barrel runs cooler through long strings of fire, which contributes to longer barrel life.
