APA Gen 3 Little Bastard Brake

The development of APA Gen 3 Little Bastard was the result of American Precision Arms' constant pursuit of breaking the mold and a desire to meet the demands of the Long-Range and Hunting markets.  APA has combined the standards of high-level performance and reliability with distinct design enhancements to improve both accuracy and performance. These enhancements benefit the shooter experience at the range and in the field where every advantage matters.

Over the last 11 years the APA Gen 2 Little Bastard Muzzle Brake has been the go to muzzle brake for competitive shooters, hunters and shooting enthusiasts alike. The Gen 2 Little Bastard is still the most utilized muzzle brake in long-range competition and has graced more podiums then any other recoil compensator to date.  The Little Bastard's proprietary  “Bastard” port design is, put simply, the most effective port design in existence.  Its unique self-timing lock nut application has made shims and crush washers obsolete with a simple 20-second install.

The roots of the new Generation 3 version of the Little Bastard lie in the requests of the elite long-range precision rifle community. APA's goal was to meet the needs of those shooters while also maintaining their standards of the pristine manufacturing. Among the design changes are three key features. The advanced Unique Recoil Profile tunable top port design allows the shooter to fine tune the muzzle movement for absolute target retention.  In addition to that, the new lock nut design creates a zero run-out and zero over rotating platform. Last is the addition of a fourth Bastard port section that eliminates even more recoil then before.
