Recently bought a proof research prefit in 308 for my bighorn origin action, very first five shots were a half MOA group.

Very happy with my purchase. Altus has fast shipping. Proof prefit 308 out shoots some of my custom barrels that shoot hand loads but with factory ammo. Shot Norma 150sp, lapua 175 scenar L, hornady 165sst, and hornady 168 a max all between 0.5-0.7” 5 shot groups at 10 yards. Some barrels just shoot everything well and apparently I got one of them.

Proof 6.5 Creddmoor
Had high expectations from what I've read over the years and was not disappointed. StaBall 6.5 and any projectile I feed it is under .5. Shot a .211 with VLD Target 140 last week. When this barrel is done getting a Dasher. Don't wait just order the pre fit these flat shoot.

6mm Dasher comp contour barrel
Another excellent barrel from Proof. I broke it in and fireformed some Lapua br brass at the same time. Jammed 110 SMKs and was shooting .3” with a light br load of 4166. I cleaned after the first 3 shots and found NO copper. None. Sped up 75 FPS in about 150 rounds. Shoots Berger 108 BTT at 2875 in .20” This is my second Proof prefit barrel that has been extremely accurate. I’ve got 1800 rounds on my 6cm barrel and it still shoots .3”s. Excellent barrels and a steal at the price.

6mm Creedmoor comp contour barrel
I had pretty high expectations to begin with but this barrel is a tack driver. First load I put in it for break in shot under 1/2”. Sped up about 60fps in 150 rounds. Headspace was perfect, about + .004 from factory Hornady brass to fire formed. My load now is 41.0gr H4350 108 eldm Hornady brass Fed 210m 3080fps sd5 and .2-.3”. Couldn’t be happier. Was going to build a dasher but never got the barrel I ordered from somewhere else. Buying another one of these when they come back in stock.
